The Nomad is a custom made wheelchair, fully adapted to the needs and convenience of each individual user. Thanks to the fully adaptive design of the Nomad we are able to create a different wheelchair for every one of our customers.

The Orthos seating system
We have introduced an innovative standard for wheelchairs with our unique Nomad seating system and wheelchair base. Thanks to the extensive size options, we can offer more than 150 different sizes that fit perfectly on our modular base. The seat shell, made of robust aluminum, ensures unparalleled durability and is designed in such a way that it also fits effortlessly on other bases, including electric ones. Every part of the Nomad is replaceable and customisable: from frame to wheels to seating. This makes the Nomad a very flexible and sustainable wheelchair, an economic- and environmental choice.

The Nomad comes with many customisable extras and accessories to choose from. 18" to 28" anodised aluminium driver wheels with integrated driver rings. High quality Orthos disc breaks. An optional single-hand stop-lock system. Fully adjustable head-, arm- and leg support. A 4-point grip-system for car- and taxi transportation. Pushing handels in different shapes and sizes. An anti-tipping system. Multiple frame colours to choose from. And the list goes on. Two aluminium driver wheels with integrated driver rings. Both driver wheels are equipped with quick release axes that allow for easy storage and transportation. The mounting angles of back wheels available in either 0, 3 or 6 degrees. Rim sizes available from 18x1” to 28x1”. |

There are either one or two castor wheels located at the front of the wheelchair depending on configuration. The castors come with solid tires, using aluminum or plastic rims. The position of the castor wheels is fully adjustable. - See also dimensions table. | > Braking System |
By default the wheelchair is provided with an integrated high quality Orthos disc break. Breaks can be used to slow down the wheelchair or be set as parking brakes. Additionally a single-hand stop-lock system mounted anywhere on the wheelchair can be provided. |

The Nomad is tested according to the EG direction medical supports 93/42/ EEG and the norm EN12183:1999 and are chrashtested in conformity with ISO 7176-19:2008 as dictated in the applicable norm EN 12183:2009
