The Standing Brace is a high quality aluminium standing aid especially designed for children. Standing is a great alternative to sitting and as a standing orthosis the Standing Brace functions as an excellent supplement to your childs wheelchair

The design
This robust but lightweight device enables the child to move fully independently by moving the body's weight back and forth. The movements that come from the Parapodium and Standing Brace mimic a natural walking pattern and make a positive contribution to the mobility and activity of the child.

Standing Brace vs. Parapodium
The Standing Brace and the Parapodium are two similar devices with one important difference: the parapodium allows the child to sit down from device.The Standing Brace, on the other hand, is fixed and does not offer this possibility.

Get up. Stand up
Standing is a great alternative to sitting. It contributes to the correct development of the human body; standing up improves blood circulation; it gives the human skeleton a more even bone loading and therefore stimulates growth; it supports better organ functioning; standing up counteracts bedsores. In addition standing straight provides a upright, standing view of the world. Standing up gets the infant at the same height as its friends and peers.
The Orthos Klik-klak-system
Instead of the regular baseplate users can equip their Parapodium with the Orthos Klik-klak system. The Klik-klak-system consists of two walking-disks, assembled below the base plate. The Klik-klak-system makes it possible for the infant to move around.
